Outing With Canon Buggers @ Bukit Bintang @ 01/05/2010

After played with kitty (18-55 IS) for less than 1 year, I finally decided to upgrade to a faster zoom lens which is the famous Tamron 17-50 f2.8. Found a seller from lowyat.net, called him, met up and COD with him, checked everything, no scratch, no peel off. Most importantly of this lens, no front/back focus problem, tested focus speed, just right about from review, really noisy (transformer sound), slow but no big deal, still sharp and nice. So? DEAL!

Right after the deal, I then rushed to Bukit Bintang to meet up Buggers gang for shooting light trail. Right about time to test out the new toy :P Tx to boss Andrew for bringing us to Lot 10's rooftop LOL (Yes, I don't know there is a fitness center and bistro on the rooftop haha). Managed to get some of the shots before a LCLY guard supervisor kicked our asses out of the rooftop zzz.

A busy road...

The light was changing so fast...

Right after our asses were out of the building, we then started shooting light trail of the busy junction. I thought it was weird when shooting in the middle of the busy street with tripod. Not really, saw some other gangs were doing the same thing too HAHA...

It's green light! Shutter "click"!

IMG_7653
I saw a security guard was talking to another dude when he was trying to photograph this building but, he was out of the building and still, the security guard still wanna trouble him lol...

IMG_7664
My boss Andrew attached his 75-300 USM's hood to his 18-55 IS to create fisheye effect lol

IMG_7666
Just got my lens that day, already poisoned by the bokeh..though it's not perfect, but still acceptable :D

Super low angle junction light trail shot, ah.......I need a UWA lens T.T

IMG_7698
Ah...UWA pls come to papa!

IMG_7710
Though my noob 450D is slow like turtle compared to my boss's 40D's AK47 continuous shot, but still managed to get 1 night panning :P

Last but not least, the Fast & Furious KL Drift :D

Outing with Canon Buggers @ PIKOM PC Fair @ KLCC @ 18/04/2010

What do you normally do when PC Fair is coming? Hunt for harddisk? LCD? Printers? Nowadays, I think the purpose of going PC Fair has changed. People are no longer go there for shopping, instead, they go there for photographing MM(meimei). There was no exception for me, I've never been to PC Fair since they moved to KLCC. Therefore, I asked my boss Andrew to join me for the shooting.

IMG_7308
While waiting my boss to come, I saw some interesting shape in the sky. Rainbow? Flare?

IMG_7310
Eclipse? LOL

IMG_7313
After I met up with boss, it's time to hunt some MM. No wonder people said PC Fair is a nice place to practice for shooting portrait, cuz those MM will just smiled and posed for you whenever they saw the camera. Not bad, no need to ask permission though XD

IMG_7314
Kaspersky gals, I'm using Kaspersky, really not BAD LOL

IMG_7315
Boss also using Kaspersky? Happy til can't see the eyes XD

IMG_7319

IMG_7355
Digi gals...

IMG_7365
1 thing I don't like to go PC Fair is because of the crowd. It's just like a indoor pasar malam but the price is almost as cheap as what LowYat is selling. But no doubt, it's a nice place for practice except the crowd zzz...

Outing @ Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest @ 17/04/2010

I always wanted to photograph silky water stream from what I saw in the Internet cuz it looks really cool. I googled some of the famous place sand I found this, Sungai Congkak Recreational Park near Hulu Langat. Although the park doesn't have waterfall, but it's a good place to practice, and also not far from town. Few days before the day, I already bought the Octopus ND filter for my kit lens =) This park is not far from Gabai waterfall, one day must try it out @ Gabai. When you reach Sungai Congkak, you will see a big entrance. Just pay the entrance ticket and follow the path. 5 mins later, you will see the stream at your both side =)

IMG_7124
Yes, you will see a lenglui @ the stream too lol

IMG_7125
If not lucky you may see me too LOL

IMG_7127
Practice for shampoo advertisement :P

IMG_7130
Well, the cheap Octopus brand ND8 filter is ok for me, at least the image still looks fine for me.

IMG_7136
Top part is overexposed due to uneven lighting. That time I didn't have GND yet, who's the red shirt lady? Creepy zzz

IMG_7216
After hehehaha for awhile, we then walked to another side.

IMG_7231
Bokehlicious...

IMG_7236
We didn't really walk til the end...

IMG_7242
Go or not to go???
