Solo Projects @ Putrajaya & Cyberjaya @ 29/12/2010

I was supposed to sleep more when I still on leave. Instead, I woke up earlier than working hour and went to Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside to photograph sunrise. Reached there quite early around 5:30am, but the guard asked me to leave cause the lake it's not open til 7am zzz. After argued with him, he let me to stay but only 1 spot :(


Still early and saw a super bright star, Venus maybe???


Then, I saw a tornado look alike cloud going to collapse Seri Saujana bridge haha...


Finally, magic hour...

After the sunrise, I went to Cyberjaya and had breakfast with Lebon. Got to know this Cyberjaya Lake Gardens from him, headed to this park after that XD


No blue blue sky but moody cloud, water was just too calm for reflection...

I've been shooting startrail for awhile around my place. It's really hard to find a good location for startrail in city, but that day the sky was really clear. I saw many stars blinking under such a heavy light pollution city. Without second thought, I grabbed my camera and tripod, jalan...


Took this at a empty field nearby where I'm staying. That time still using low ISO, can't get many stars.


I've already suspected something's wrong with my camera whenever shooting long exposure. Did a extreme long single exposure and discovered this. Sent back to Canon few days later zz

One night after sent Joleen back, I drove to Puchong jalan-jalan cari bintang. But that day was kinda cloudy, so I got no choice just to shoot some long exposure.


Bright like morning haha...


Only 1 star zzz


Stopped by Tasik Puchong Prima and saw bunch of dudes still fishing...

It's been awhile that I started my own solo projects. Most of the time was shooting startrail, but it just really hard to shoot in the city due to light pollution. One day, when Joleen and I walked out from 1 Utama towards parking, I saw the magic hour it just too beautiful.


Beautiful enough to make me took out the camera and shot :D


Both shots were handhold, original colour not colour cast :D


After sent Joleen back, I drove to a place near Tasik Puchong Prima and found this place. Do you see the green colour line on the left? Now only I know it's been for long time.


I know full moon is the enemy for shooting startrail. But that time I still lacked of knowledge and just shot without proper planning.


Another enemy of shooting startrail is the damn clouds...

I'm a long exposure freak who likes to wait and see the result after more than 1 min. In order to slow down the exposure in daytime, 10 stop ND is the option. Since I don't have a Lee filters system, I bought the screw-in B+W ND 110 instead. So one day out of the blue, I drove to the Puchong lake and tested out the filter although I expected won't get any nice result cuz there's not much wave from the lake.


It was a hot evening but those dudes didn't mind fishing there XD. One thing I noticed was the longer you facing towards the Sun using the filter, the stronger colour cast you will have.


You will see a big sewer once you step down the hill. Dare to enter???
